Petitie tegen ongrondwettelijke taks

No action?

Wondering why nothing much has been happening here? Take a look at http://herman.vandeputte.net ;-)

How to be a good player in the free software community

The city of Schoten has always been an early adopter where free software is concerned. It plays this part very well. Not only does the city integrate free software in its IT environment whereever possible (e.g. Asterisk for IP telephony, Zarafa for the E-mail server): it also gives back to the FLOSS community and thus sets the example of how to be a perfect free software user.

With the hands-on labs the city does even more than just giving back: it is building its very own community of IT-professionals from cities, schools, companies in the social economy and volunteer organizations.

Worst documented software of the century

And the winner is... Sun Management Center!

As I have a calling in life to fill this kind of gaps, it won't do complaining about it: I'll have to write a new book. Or at least a decent manual about the command line interface. The one-chapter explanation in the official Sun docs simply DOES NOT HELP at all. But, as I've said, no ranting. Just a plan to write about

  • Adding and removing agents
  • Loading and unloading single and multiple instance modules
  • Getting module attributes
  • Managing alarms
  • Adding and deleting rows
